Natsu Dragneel 42 Natsu is A mage that uses the powerful Flame Dragon Slayer Magic. He is a member of Fairy Tail. As a young boy he was raised by a powerful dragon named Igneel. He is one of the most powerful Fairy Tail members and a member of Fairy Tails most powerful team. As powerful as he is Natsu has always been at a disadvantage because of his reckless behavior and his motion sickness that is usually used for comic relief. It is revealed that he along with several other dragon slayers come from 400 years in the past.
Erza Scarlett 24 Erza Scarlet is a powerful S-Class mage from the infamous guild Fairy Tail. She is part of a team composed of Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Happy, Wendy and Carla. She became the Seventh Guild Master of Fairy Tail after its one-year disbandment, but gave the title back to Makarov after he returned from the Alvarez Empire. Erza uses Requip magic, a form of Spatial Magic.
Lucy Heartphilia 24 Lucy is a Stellar Spirit mage from the infamous guild Fairy Tail. She is a recent member and the main female protagonist.
Gray Fullbuster 20 Gray Fullbuster is an Ice mage from the Fairy Tail Guild. After the destruction of his village from a ancient demon, he was taken in by the famous Ice mage Ur and her other student Leon who considered themselves as adoptive brothers. After Ur's sacrifice at the hand of the same demon Gray found himself apart of the Fairy Tail Guild and made life long friends in the shape of Natsu Dragneel, Erza Scarlet and many more. He is Fairy Tail's signature Ice Mage and has a rather nasty habit of stripping.
Happy 19 Happy is a blue winged Cat who is Natsu's friend and sidekick. He is the mascot of Fairy Tail. Happy is actually an exceed, a race of flying cats from another world.
Zeref Dragneel 10 A Black mage that has lived for 400 years. He is the older brother of Natsu Dragneel.
Gajeel Redfox 9 Gajeel Redfox was once part of a rival guild called Phantom Lord but once it was destroyed he joined the Fairy Tail guild. He is an Iron Dragon Slayer which allows him to eat and change his body parts into extremely hard metal. After Fairy Tail disbanded, he became a part of the Magic Council, yet has recently rejoined with Fairy Tail.
Wendy Marvell 8 A Sky Dragon Slayer who is part of the Fairy Tail guild. Originally a member of Cait Shelter, Wendy soon found out that her guild was nothing but an illusion to give her company and was taken in by Fairy Tail soon after where she became a member of Natsu's team. During Fairy Tail's dismemberment, she joined Lamia Scale and became very close to fellow Sky God Slayer Sherria Blendy. She has since joined back with Fairy Tail to combat the Alvarez Empire.
Makarov Dreyar 6 Makarov is the Third, Sixth and Eighth guild Master of Fairy Tail and is the son of one of the founding members, Yuri Dreyar. He was set to retire after giving up the leadership of the guild to Gildarts, but after both him and Erza both turned it down to let him still lead, he decided to stay on and guild his "precious children". His son is Iwan Dreyar and his grandson is Laxus Dreyar.
Carla 5 A member of the Fairy Tail guild who is an Exceed. Carla is the daughter of Queen Shagotte, and a close companion to Wendy Marvell.
Levy McGarden 5 A member of the Fairy Tail Guild and the female member of Team Shadow Gear. After the war against Tartaros and the disbandment of Fairy Tail, Levy joined with the Magic Council alongside Gajeel Redfox. She later re-joined Fairy Tail after the Guild was reinstated and is helping them to defeat an invasion by the Alvarez Empire. Levy uses a form of letter magic called Solid Script.
Sting Eucliffe 4 A Third Generation Dragon Slayer who is a member of Sabertooth, Sting was trained by the Light dragon Weisslogia from birth and raised with close friend Rogue Cheney. The two later became known as the Twin Dragons of Sabertooth during the absence of Fairy Tail. Sting became the Guild's master after murdering the former master in a fit of rage, and now runs Sabertooth promoting the values of friendship, teamwork, and family, something he learned from Fairy Tail in the Grand Magic Games.
Rogue Cheney 4 Rouge is one of the Twin Dragon Slayers from Sabertooth, the top Guild in Fiore during the seven years that Fairy Tail was trapped on Tenrou Island. He was trained by the Shadow dragon Skiadrum and after the Grand Magic Games, became very close friends with members of Fairy Tail alongside his Guild.
Acnologia 4 The Black Dragon of the Apocalypse, Acnologia was once a human Dragon Slayer who became obsessed with slaying actual dragons, which caused him to transform and become an actual dragon. He seems to want to rid the world of dragons and Dragon Slayers alike, and in the current war between the Alvarez Empire and the mage guilds of Fiore, he is joining the fight to take out the remaining Dragon Slayers.
Mavis Vermilion 4 The founder and first guild master of Fairy Tail. She has been called the Fairy Tactician.
Brandish μ 4 Brandish is one of the Spriggan 12 of Zeref's Army. She was captured by Fairy Tail after her ally, Ajeel, created a sandstorm that gave her allergies, causing her to lower her guard and be knocked out. She recently seemed to form a friendship with Lucy Heartfilia, even going so far as to heal a tumor in Natsu Dragneel.
Elfman Strauss 3 Elfman is a member of Fairy Tail as well as the brother of Mirajane and Lisanna Strauss. He uses Caster Magic which allows a demon to take over part of his body or his whole body. He considers himself a manly man.
Mirajane Strauss 3 Mirajane is a member and the second strongest female mage of Fairy Tail after Erza Scarlet, she is also the sister of Lisanna and Elfman Strauss as one of the Take-Over Siblings. She acts as a waitress/server in the guild hall and one of the mentors and guides for new members in the Guild.
Cana Alberona 3 Cana is a mage who uses Card Magic and is a member of Fairy Tail. She is later revealed to be Gildarts' daughter. She holds the title of Fairy Tail's "heaviest drinker".
Igneel 3 The Fire Dragon that raised Natsu Dragneel and taught him Dragon Slayer Magic.
August 3 A member of the Alvarez Empire and one of the strongest members of the Spriggan 12. He is referred to as the "Magic King" and is the General of the Spriggan 12, answering only to Emperor Zeref himself.
Dimaria Yesta 3 Dimaria is one of Zeref's generals in his army and one of the members of the Spriggan 12. She uses magic that allows her to manipulate time to make everyone around her stand still while she is free to move.
Irene Belserion 3 Irene Belserion is a part of the Alvarez Empire as the strongest woman of the Spriggan 12, the protection guard of Emperor Spriggan. Where she leads her very own squad, 'The Irene Squad'. She was the first person in history to use and coin Dragon Slayer magic. Along with that, she is also the biological mother of Fairy Tail's Erza Scarlet. Her nickname is the "Scarlet Despair".

Jellal Fernandes 2 Jellal Fernandes was once a slave at the tower of Heaven along with Erza Scarlet until he was manipulated by Ultear Milkovich or what he believed to be Zeref's ghost and attempted to recreate the R-System to resurrect the black wizard, Zeref. He was defeated by Natsu Dragneel and the Tower of Heaven was destroyed. Jellal currently created an independent guild named Crime Sorciere to hunt down dark guilds, and is helping Fairy Tail in their fight against the Alvarez Empire.
Juvia Lockser 2 Juvia is a water mage, a former member of Phantom Lord and current member of Fairy Tail. She is in love with Gray Fullbuster. She has become best friends with Crime Sorciere mage, Meredy.
Laxus Dreyar 2 Laxus uses lightning magic, he is an S class wizard, a member of Fairy Tail and is the grandson of Makarov Dreyar. He is a Dragon Slayer of the Second Generation.
Minerva Orlando 2 A member of the Sabertooth Guild, then the Tartaros Guild, then back to Sabertooth, Minerva has had a rough life that led her to become cruel as she grew older. After Sabertooth's defeat at the hands of Fairy Tail in the Grand Magic games, Minerva became a dark mage who eventually ran into Kyoka of Tartaros. She impressed the demon with her strength and was re-made a demon herself. She was shown the light by Erza and has since rejoined with Sabertooth, ready to fight for her comrades and friends.
Loke 2 The Celestial Spirit, Leo who is a member of the Fairy Tail guild. Leo is the leader of the twelve zodiac celestial spirits. His former owner was Karen Lilica. During the three years he survived in the human world, he left Blue Pegasus and joined Fairy Tail. He disguised himself as a human called Loke. As Loke, he used Ring Magic. He has a close relationship with Aries, a fellow zodiac spirit. His current owner is Lucy Heartfilia.
Droy 2 Droy is a Mage of Fairy Tail and a member of Team Shadow Gear along with Jet and Levy.
