Greenfield Carl Ray Slifer 2024 Carl Ray Slifer, age 83, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born in Greenfield on September 27, 1940 to Glen Milford and Gayle Ilene (Fisher) Slifer. He graduated from Greenfield High School in 1958. Corporal Carl honorably served in the Marine Corps from 1958 -1962. He married Betty Jean (Ethridge) Slifer on January 9, 1960 in Greenfield. He worked for the Pepsi Cola Company in Indianapolis, Indiana within the Sales Department for 34 years. Carl retired from there in 2003.
